The Samir Kassir Foundation (SKF) is launching a call for proposals for investigative reports that examine and address the political, social and/or economic environment and debate around the presence and impact of the Syrian refugees on Lebanon.

The Samir Kassir Foundation is seeking production services for a video podcast of 7 episodes, 30 minutes each. The requested services include the following:
- Pre-production
- Format design
- Filming
- Digital art direction
- Post-production
- Copywriting
The program will address the misconceptions and disinformation about the Syrian refugee crisis by presenting facts and doing a deep examination of the realities in contrast with the mainstream narratives perpetuated by the government and political parties.

The Samir Kassir Foundation is seeking a script writer to develop the script for a 10-episode short web-series (5-10 min/episode). The purpose of the series is to address the misconceptions, stereotypes, and prejudices surrounding the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and to carry a reasonable, objective, and factual discourse infused with humor on the matter to a wider audience.

The Samir Kassir Foundation (SKF) invites independent digital media outlets in Lebanon to submit proposals for creating and promoting media content, utilizing social media platforms where applicable, that addresses the different aspects of the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon, particularly at the management and policy level, and the implications of the absence of an adequate level of both, on the lives of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

The Samir Kassir Foundation (SKF) has designed and produced a card game titled “Say It", alongside game developers Everythink, The game exposes an almost exhaustive range of Lebanese stereotypes, allowing players to fill in the blanks in a series of incomplete scenarios, aiming to achieve the least offensive outcome in order to win.
For this purpose, SKF intends to roll out a marketing campaign to promote the new card game and create public demand for and awareness about it.

The Samir Kassir Foundation (SKF) invites Lebanon-based civil society organizations and independent
digital media outlets to submit proposals for developing and implementing multi-layered social media
campaigns that demonstrate the struggle and the challenges of marginalized communities in Lebanon,
and the impact of organized hate campaigns and stereotyping on their livelihood and well-being.

This project aims to to strengthen the presence of independent online outlets in their respective media ecosystems. As they develop their skills and their business models, they will have the chance to broaden their scope of work and generate more impactful content, while simultaneously increasing their reach and overall influence on society.

Funding opportunity for independent, online media to produce creative, accountability-oriented content around the 2022 Lebanese parliamentary election. The grant amount may reach up to USD 61,000.

The Samir Kassir Foundation invites proposals from Lebanese independent media platforms for the provision of financial and professional support. Four grants of up to US$15,000 are available for media projects that would support content production including investigations into the utilization, management, and path of international aid (tracking a single donor or sector) since the Beirut Port Explosion.

The D-JIL project works to offer young citizens, from nine countries in the MENA region, the opportunity, resources, training and mentoring needed to create and produce digital content for youth, helping them become more active citizens, involved in their communities and public life.

In this project, ERIM - a partner of the Samir Kassir Foundation - leads implementation of Media and Information Literacy workshops to help the project teams incorporate Media Literacy into their activities and receive feedback from their youth audience.
