Project For The Empowerment Of Women In Deir Dalloum, Akkar

As a result of study conducted by the Safadi Foundation in Deir Dalloum which showed that most women in the area had very little exposure to any social activity outside of their homes, the Foundation initiated the project to make women aware of different socio-economic aspects that affect their lives. The project consists of a series of animated workshops for the women of Deir Dalloum. These workshops, in the beginning, will focus on opening the lines of communication and participation of women in areas that directly affect their lives. Subsequently, the workshops will expose them to different levels and subjects on personal development, such as their role in economic activity and their political and legal rights.
