Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) is a Polish international non-governmental organization implementing shelter, health care and educational projects in Lebanon since 2012. The mission of the PCPM Foundation is to provide humanitarian, development and rescue assistance to those in need throughout the world, while maintaining the basic principles of humanitarianism, impartiality, neutrality and independence

The Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) with funding from BMZ and the support of the World Food Program is in the process of implementing a humanitarian project in the Akkar governorate. The Project will contribute to the Livelihoods improvement of the most vulnerable communities affected by the economic crisis in Lebanon.
Background Specific for the Assignment The Volunteer/Daily worker will support PCPM staff and be responsible for the training sites where PCPM is implementing its activities in partnership with the WFP.

The Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) with the support of the World Food Program (WFP) is implementing a project in Akkar Governorate funded by the German Cooperation BMZ. The project will contribute to the livelihoods improvement of the most vulnerable communities. The main expected outcome of the project aims at sustainably improving the resilience and wellbeing of individuals, communities and systems that are currently suffering from the economic crises.

Strengthening local capacity in good governance, spatial development and strategic planning, including the promotion and the capacity building of the technical offices in each of the three targeted UoMs. (Ref activity plan SO 1: 4.4.1)

PCPM is seeking for qualified experts: “urban landscape designer” for short-term assignment (30 days) in field and desk work.

PCPM is seeking for a qualified Community Outreach Officer to provide support, to liaise and coordinate closely with the selected subnational governments on a day-to-day basis. The Community Outreach Officer is a national expert who will work closely with the Front Officer and the Team Leader.

PCPM is seeking for a qualified Thematic Coordinator to provide expertise on one of the thematic areas of the programme:
1) Governance and local economic development,
2) Urban planning and public spaces;
3) Solid waste management and WASH.

The assigned engineer will be involved in an urban area rehabilitation project aiming to improve living conditions in one of the neighborhoods in Burj Hammoud.

PCPM is recruiting trainers to implement a capacity-building project in the areas of Akkar, Bekaa, and Byblos.
The successful candidates will exhibit strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and dedication to the mission’s values.
This is a contract position, anticipated to run until July 2019.

PCPM is seeking a Civil Engineer Consultant to oversee an agricultural terraces rehabilitation project in Fatre, Byblos. The selected person will have the responsibility to survey the plots, decide the slope, reinforcements, load distribution, and wall, as well as to prepare a technical survey report accordingly. In addition, he/she will have to provide a BoQ, supervise the contractor’s work, and draft a completion report, while ensuring that the project objectives are met and that the activities are implemented in compliance with PCPM and donor regulations.
