The project targets students of age range between 15-18 in public and private schools and institutions for students with disabilities. Project objectives include student awareness on the role of the municipality and the citizen in advancing the state of public affairs, with a glance on the elections process. The simulations will also include a short skills enhancement section focusing on persuasion skills and speech and communication tips. The core of the simulation is an activity where students will play the role of supporters to a virtual municipal council and at the same time, will demonstrate their advocacy and persuasive skills by promoting a municipal agenda they put together as part of their electoral campaign.
Volunteers will undergo a capacity building / facilitation skills workshop that will prepare them for the project implementation phase. Then they will participate in simulations in accordance with their time and location.
