Too many reasons to celebrate!
Lebanon Support would like to invite you to a celebration of its almost ten years of existence and work. Since it was founded in 2006, Lebanon Support has launched two online platforms – Daleel Madani, the civil society portal which has over 1,300 organisations registered and on the directory; and CSKC, the Civil Society Knowledge Centre (launched in 2013) which is an online space for original tools, research, and analysis addressing civil society issues in Lebanon.
Lebanon Support’s latest endeavour is the Civil Society Review, a yearly peer-reviewed publication which aims to be yet another way to disseminate knowledge and research produced by researchers, activists, experts, and NGO workers. The Civil Society Review aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of this sector, as well as enhance its voice.
To officially launch the 1st issue of the Civil Society Review and celebrate our achievements so far, as well as our efforts to keep improving our services, please join us on the 27th of March for a festive gathering. The celebration will also feature a reading by Zoukak Theatre Company & Cultural Association and an exhibition of photographs taken by Bassem Chit, as a tribute to Lebanon Support’s late executive director.
The event will take place on the 27th of March 2015, between 6 and 8 pm,at Lebanon Support’s office in Adlieh, Najib Azouri street, Shaghouri building, 3rd floor (follow this link for the map)
The schedule of the event is as follows:6:00-6:30pm: Overview of Lebanon Support’s work6:30-7:00pm: Launch and presentation of the Civil Society Review, in the presence of some of the contributors7:00-7:20pm: Tribute to Bassem Chit, with the participation of Zoukak.7:20-8:00pm: Festive drinks and nibbles
