Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

The campaign includes lectures about the importance of early detection, the definition of breast cancer, its symptoms and prevention methods, in addition to self examination, mammography and echography. Afterwards, women undergo screening (mammography and echography) for free at the NBRC. If screening shows the existence of tumor, whether benign or malignant, the woman is followed up on by LWAH and referred to Nabatiyeh Public Hospital for further free testing. In case she is found to have breast cancer, she will be treated, free of charge, at Nabatiyeh Public Hospital.
