Writing An Eu Impact Statement' Workshop

Competition for European funding is increasing with success rates predicted to fall, this increased competition comes at a time when Europe has changed their priorities, making some of the previously less important components of an application critical, researchers really need to sell their project ideas in both the abstract and the impact.
The emphasis had been shifting over previous years in Research based proposals with the EU increasingly looking for actual benefits at the end of projects. This has now become formalised in Horizon 2020 with Impact (and its sub sets of exploitation and dissemination) becoming after excellent science, the key evaluation criteria and definition of success for European research proposals in particular.
The EU is policy and impact driven! However, researchers are normally curiosity driven; this means they often have difficulty in explaining the impact of their science or research in terms of European policy drivers.
This workshop will show researchers how to write a compelling and concise impact statement that benefits Europe’s Priorities and sells your idea/action to the Evaluator.
