Background
International Relief and Development (IRD), through its Capacity Support for Civil Society (CSCS) program, is seeking a qualified company to deliver capacity building coaching sessions to civil society organizations around the following topics:
- Leadership (including strategic planning, governance, organizational culture, and organizational sustainability)
- Programming (including program management and time management)
- Financial management and resource development
Location
The capacity building coaching sessions will be delivered for 10 organizations in Gaziantep, Turkey and 2 organizations in Beirut, Lebanon.
Time Frame
The coaching will be delivered in February and March 2017.
Description of Services
Under the overall guidance of, and in coordination with, the Program Manager and the Program Coordinator, the selected consultant will design and deliver the coaching service in line with the following specific guidelines:
A. Two days assessment for each group of organizations grouped by city (2 in Beirut and 10 in Gaziantep).
B. One day coaching on Leadership skills tailored to each civil society organization; the outline includes but is not limited to:
Strategic Planning: Mission and Vision Governance: Board composition, and governance Organizational culture: internal communication and leadership team Organizational sustainability
C. One day coaching on Programming tailored to each civil society organization; the outline includes but is not limited to:
Project Management: Project identification, design, planning, and implementation Technical capacity: technical expertise and inclusion
D. One day coaching on Financial Management tailored to each civil society organization; the outline includes but is not limited to:
Accounting Budgeting Financial Controls and Inventory Financial Reports and Audits
The coaching will be delivered in Arabic language but materials are to be provided in both Arabic and English languages. The selected company is to be aware that all training materials developed within this scope are deemed IRD’s property.
Required Deliverables
The selected company will be required to submit the following deliverables:
4 days of assessment 3 days of coaching for each of the 12 organizations Report about the coaching, including the assessment, coaching sessions, and recommendations for each organization.
Evaluation Criteria
IRD Evaluation Committee consisted of senior program management will review all applications submitted before the deadline. In addition to price, the Committee will consider how well the application demonstrates the overall technical methodology that is proposed for the coaching. IRD Evaluation Committee shall use the following specific technical criteria and only the consultants who meet these criteria will be considered for the service:
Application submitted before the deadline. Relevant experience with civil society organizations and/or similar programs. Clear description of coaching methodology and tools responsive to the Scope of Work. Proposed daily rate submitted in USD.
Submission Guidelines
Applications must be submitted through email to [email protected] with the subject “Capacity Building Coaching Sessions”. The deadline for submission is 26 January 2017, 11:59 p.m. Beiruttime. The application package must include:
- Portfolio of Company
- CVs of coaches including contact information of three references
- Coaching methodology, tools and approaches (maximum of 1 page)
- Daily rate in USD
