Mental Health Trainer

In Lebanon, HAI provides holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods strengthening and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations affected by the Syrian refugee crisis, including women and girls, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) individuals, and survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), torture and trauma.
 
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The Mental Health Trainer will be under the supervision of the program manager and will coordinate closely with HAI area coordinator and program officer to achieve the activities below:

Providing a three day PFA training to the implementing partner’s staff in Akkar;
Developing Mental Health training materials and monitoring tools;
Submitting a training report to the Program Manager after delivery of the training.  

The training will be conducted to staff (nurses, social workers, outreach workers) of a newly established primary health center in Akkar region. Training to be delivered in Arabic
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Contract : Contractor
Payment: Daily based
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
-          Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, psychiatry, mental health care etc.).
-          3+ years’ experience working on MHPSS programs, preferably in humanitarian settings
-          Ability to create tools and monitoring processes
-          Excellent organizational and coaching skills
-          Languages: English and Arabic are mandatory.
