Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action. It needs YOU.

Since the early nineties, Greenpeace has been campaigning in the Middle East and North Africa region bringing about change for many of the environmental problems affecting people’s life and way of ling.

Greenpeace MENA (Middle East and North Africa) is the latest organisation in the Greenpeace network that now consists of 26 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating body, Greenpeace International.

Greenpeace MENA will prioritize environmental problems from this important region, offering solutions for its people and working hands in hands with the local communities in order to push for a greener and more peaceful world.

Our goal is to ensure the ability of the earth to nurture life in all its diversity. That means we seek to:

• Promote the preservation and protection of the environment
• Promote peace

Greenpeace MENA will adopt a global and regional approach to the achievement of its objectives, without limiting such approach to national or regional problems, but with a focus on the Middle-East and North African region.

We believe optimism is a form of courage. We believe that a billion acts of courage can spark a brighter tomorrow.

To that end we model courage, we champion courage, we share stories of courageous acts by our supporters and allies, we invite people out of their comfort zones to take courageous action with us, individually in their daily lives, and in community with others who share our commitment to a better world.

A green and peaceful future is our quest. The heroes of our story are all of us who believe that a better world is not only within reach, but being built today.

Greenpeace's work is based on a number of principles and values. They are reflected in all our campaigns, and they guide whatever we do, wherever we do it.

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning network, which uses peaceful, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future.
