ترتّب المواطنة على الفرد/ المواطن مجموعة من الحقوق والواجبات التي تطبّق على الجميع، دون أي تمييز قائم على الاختلافات في القومية أو الجنس أو الجهة أو الموقع الاجتماعي أو الدين… وتحدد المواطنة شكل العلاقات التي يقيمها المواطن مع الدولة، والمجتمع، والفضاء المشترك. وفي هذا الجانب الأخير من العلاقات، تبرز أهمية التنمية المستدامة كقضية مواطنية بامتياز.

في هذا الكتيب، تحاول الباحثة الإحاطة بمفهوم التنمية المستدامة، وبعلاقته مع المواطنة، وتفصّل العديد من القضايا البيئية الهامة، ثم تبيّن لنا ما يجب علينا، كمواطنين، فعله حيالها، لنحقق مواطنيتنا، من خلال التزامنا بالحق في البيئة السليمة للجميع.

Citizenship imposes on the individual/citizen a set of rights and duties that apply to everyone, without any discrimination based on differences of nationality, gender, social class or religion. Citizenship also determines the relationships formed by the citizen with his state, society, and public space. In this latter aspect of relationships, the importance of sustainable development as a distinctive citizenship issue comes into view.

In this booklet, the researcher tries to thoroughly talk about the concept of sustainable development and how it is related to citizenship while detailing a number of important environmental issues. The writer then shows us what we should do about it, as citizens, in order to achieve our citizenship through our commitment to the right of a proper environment for everyone alike.
