The Centre for Social Sciences Research and Action - Calls

The training will cover Research Methodology related topics for civil society organisations working in Lebanon, including but not limited to developing your research question, framing your research, stating your assumptions/ hypotheses, collecting data, analysing fieldwork, in addition to research ethics, etc.

The Bassem Chit fellowship for the study of activism is a one-year post doctoral fellowship based in Beirut, Lebanon. The fellowship is a joint initiative of Lebanon Support, the Arab Council for the Social Sciences, the Orient-Institut Beirut, and Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung Beirut Office. The fellowship aims to give early career scholars (0-3 years out of the Phd) in the social sciences the opportunity to conduct research on activism in the Arab world. The Bassem Chit fellowship accepts proposals in Arabic, English, or French.

In coordination with other consultants within this project, the Mission, Mission & Strategy consultant will be entrusted with developing pre- and post-test questions, as part of a greater survey, to determine the level of knowledge and skills of  trainees vis-à-vis the Mission, Vision & Strategy trainings. The pre-test and post-test surveys are the same and they are delivered before the start date of the trainings and after the last session.
