The Pharmacist Is responsible for the management and supervision of the medical warehouse with the aim of optimizing and securing the management of medicines for all medical and social centers and mobile clinics. DUTIES Practice interventions within the framework of the internal regulations of Caritas and in compliance with the codes of ethics of the trade Apply the policies, procedures, decisions and recommendations approved by the board and the head of medical department Participate in the process of analyzing the medical needs of the population and in the strategic planning process Participate in the implementation and coordination of planned and approved curative and preventive programs Ensure that drug expenditure is regulated by the most cost-effective research Participate in the preparation of annual drug budgets Monitor monthly budget reports on purchases and sales of medicines, and prepare vouchers for differences Maintain a professional network and keep up-to-date documentation enabling proper guidance to the institutions or services concerned Propose supply recommendations and analyze the quantitative and qualitative needs of medicines on the basis of periodic and annual consumption, remaining stock at depots, latest purchases, reports from scientific offices, pharmaceutical trends, Pharmaceutical offers, the recommendations of the physicians, and the recommendations of scientific sites and standards, etc. Ensure administrative and medical follow-up of medication files with the Ministry of Public Health and other governmental, health and other authorities, notably the College of Physicians and the Order of Pharmacists Monitor the local and international medicines market, price fluctuations, the introduction of new drugs or generic drugs, drugs approved by the Ministry of Public Health, etc. Manage, in collaboration with the purchasing department, the tender procedure for medicines and other products delivered to the pharmacy with suppliers in accordance with the procurement procedures implemented by the management of Caritas Manage drug orders, coordinates, checks and approve receipt (quantity, price, expiry date, quality control, etc.) in accordance with the board decisions Control purchase invoices and ensure compliance with purchase orders and receipts Organize the supply of the medical warehouse, and ensure control of all regional structures: supervision of the supply of medico-social centers, minimum stock, expiry date, organization of the warehouse by zones, withdrawal of medicines on instructions from the Ministry Public Health, etc. Periodically visit the different CMS to monitor the application of standards and procedures in pharmacies Write a report following each CMS visit and submit it to the head of the medical department Present the necessary documents relating to the title of pharmacist in order to renew or apply for permits for the various CMS of Caritas Ensure the evaluation of new medicines in collaboration with the physicians and the nurses responsible for the CMS according to the evaluation sheet implemented in the medical department Prepare recommendations for good practices, guidelines and advice on good use and storage Direct the teams on dosage and other information about new drugs Develop a training program for staff on pharmaceutical knowledge Ensure the implementation of quality assurance standards for medicines and in particular: Bioequivalence and bioavailability, monitoring of anomalies and nonconformitiesMonitor storage conditions in the medical warehouse, CMS and mobile clinics: humidity, temperature, refrigeration, etc. Conduct satisfaction surveys, and manage complaints in relation to medicines and other products delivered to the pharmacy Verify the application of the instructions: internal quality inspection and audit Ensure the application of procedures related to distribution of prescribed drugs Manage expired medicines and dispose of them safely according to the procedures in force Ensure a presence during regular inventories of medicines and ensure a regular inventory during the year Actively participate in regular medical service meetings Perform other duties of the same type requested by management SKILLS Business Skills Good communication skills Strong organization skills Critical-Thinking Skills Ability to work in a multicultural environment Work cooperatively and effectively with others Confidentiality Attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in English, French and Arabic both written and oral Computer Skills Microsoft office – all applications ACADEMIC EDUCATION Bachelor degree in Pharmacy EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE 8 to 10 years relevant experience Experience with NGO is a plus Experience in community health is a plus
