Besme Group Laid The First Stone Of The Social And Cultural Center At Hebbarieh In South Lebanon

Besme Group paid a visit to the South Lebanese village of Hebbarieh on 03 April 2015. After the Besme Aid 2015, which took place in January 2015 and aimed at distributing relief supplies to Lebanese locals and Syrian refugees, Besme Group has been committed to contributing at the socio-cultural and socio-economic development of the region. To this end, in March 2015, Besme Group appointed a South Lebanon Coordinator in order to reach reliable information, which will lead itself to be more active in the region. During this visit, Besme Group had a warm welcome from the villagers, which was embodied by the lunch that is organized by the Hebbarieh Agriculture Cooperative. Through the idea of `think local act global` Besme Group also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Masaadi Organization, a local entity at Hebbarieh dealing with NGO activities.
Following the signing of the MoU, Mrs Gulshan Saghlam, General Manager of Besme Group, laid the first stone of the Social and Cultural Center, which is planned to be the core of socio-cultural and socio-economic progress of not only Hebbarieh but also Hasbaya Al-Arkoub. Donated by Mr. Yassin Youssef to Besme Group, this piece of land at the very heart of Hebbarieh will hopefully serve as a social facility for the villagers, which is designed as a multipurpose public hall.
