The Association Of Ibrik El Zeit Atelier

What is Ibrik el Zeit Atelier?Ibrik el Zeit Atelier is a Non-Governmental Organization, working on non-profit basis, that enhances children’s creative and artistic development. The association was officially founded in 19/6/2009 under the registration number: 951 /AD ; Its main location is in Beirut and its activities cover all Lebanese regions.
Who are we?This atelier had a long history in cultural, educational and entertaining work before it became a registered association.The idea of the “tales of ibrik el zeit (oil’s jug)” started as a radio program on “The Voice of the People” broadcasting station in 1998 – 1999, prepared and directed by Yasser Mroue. Many artists have also participated in telling the tales.
Afterwards, the program was transformed into the atelier of Ibrik el Zeit on July 29,1999, where children were able to express themselves in many ways such as painting, acting, poems turned into plays, expressive essays and journalistic writing.This atelier presented many projects between the years 1999 and 2012 including theatre performances, painting, puppets making workshops, poetry reading, children’s art exhibition, story writing, some extracurricular workshops, the release of 4 recordings (Tapes and CD’s) and some greeting cards made by the children themselves as well as a book entitled “Noor - Children’s Creativity Through Stories”
