Building Resilient Communities in Lebanon: An Integrated Approach to Livelihoods and Income Generation for Vulnerable Populations
Program overview:
The Alliance2015 Partnership, represented by lead agency ACTED, Cesvi, Concern and Hivos, is running a programme that aims to address root causes of conflict and instability in Lebanon, through the creation of sustainable income-generating and livelihood opportunities for vulnerable populations. Over three years, Alliance2015 partners will work directly with 1,800 individuals, 18 Social Development Centers (SDCs) and at least 27 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Lebanon.
SME Support Program Description:
The programme will provide business development support (BDS) services to eligible businesses. The duration of support and type of support provided to each business will vary according to need and criteria determined by ACTED. ACTED particularly invited social enterprises to apply for this programme.
Eligible candidates should:
- Have an idea to improve or grow their business, with a 6 to 12 months business improvement plan,
- Show willingness to collaborate with ACTED team to grow their business and increase hiring,
- Provide evidence of relevant experience and expertise to implement proposed activities,
- Have a clear understanding on how the technical and/or financial support by ACTED will assist in growing their business

Selection Process
All candidates are requested to submit through email ([email protected]) a business plan outlining: vision statements, target market and customers, operating personnel, cash flow projections, marketing plans, licenses, permits and registration details. In addition, please provide an expansion plan outlining potential for job creation/job improvement as well as costs involved in such an expansion.
After ensuring that applicants meet the eligibility requirements, a technical review committee will score each application per criterion. Only those applications that achieve a minimal acceptable score will be contacted by ACTED to carry out a field visit to verify information submitted in the application. Final selection is contingent on successful completion of this field visit.
ACTED may solicit feedback from external experts and may follow up with additional questions. At any stage, ACTED reserves the right to pose clarifying questions and conduct discussions with some, all, or none of the applicants and may also ask for further documents.
