Training On “The Concepts Of Srhr, Child Marriage And Working With Adolescents”

ABAAD Organization in partnership with UNICEF is planning to conduct Two (2) days training on “The Concepts of SRHR, Child Marriage and Working with Adolescents”. The training aims to introduce the participants to: The conceptual information around sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) including key messages on puberty and menstruation, personal hygiene, and self-protection from sexual abuse, in addition to the inter-linkages between child marriage and GBV against girls and provide them with interactive tools and exercises to catalyze discussions on the topic with adolescent girls and their families in communities.
 
The training will encompass the following:
-          Key physical and psychological changes occurring at/during puberty;
-          Introduction to the intersection between child marriage and GBV against girls
-          How to use the video animations produced by ABAAD and UNICEF “While I am growing up …” & “Marriage is not a game!” as educational tools with affected communities;
-          Practicum on the use of several interactive tools aimed at facilitating discussions with girls and their families on SRHR & child marriage
 
Applicants MUST fulfill the following requirements:

At least 1 year experience working with teen adolescent girls and their families;
Committed to attend ALL training hours;
Priority will be given to health practitioners;
Priority will be given to individuals working with refugee communities;
Must be working in Lebanon.

 
 
The trainings target frontline service providers from GBV, CP and health sectors and will be held on:
-          South: Tuesday  May 17 & Wednesday  May 18 at Platinum Hotel, Tyre
 
The training hours will be from 9AM until 4PM and will be in Arabic language.
