Call For Participants: Training On “Playing For Gender Equality Toolkit”

ABAAD – “Resource Center for Gender Equality" in collaboration with Save the Children are pleased to announce the organization of a training for coaches and trainers working with children on the toolkit “Playing for Gender Equality”. The toolkit focuses on working with children between ages 8-11 years.
The workshops will be held in Beirut from 25-28 August 2015 (Venue to be confirmed at a later time).
Objective of the trainings:
The trainings are aimed to achieve the following objectives:
-      Provide participants with the framework needed to understand gender and concepts related to it, especially gender equality, gender roles and gender based violence and how to work with children on these sensitive concepts.
-      Teach participants how to find fun and interactive ways to inform kids about the concepts of Gender Equality and at the same time helping the kids in the development of critical thinking when it comes to gender stereotypes.
-      Strengthening the technical knowledge needed to implement the 10 games of the toolkit.
The Training program will include the following components:

A.      The training, stretching over 4 days will include the following sections:

-      The first section will involves helping the participants gain understanding of Gender Equality and the related concepts and principles to prepare them to answer any potential questions related to gender that children might have.
-      The second section involves training on fun and interactive ways to implement these principles through the 10 games in the toolkit “Playing for Gender Equality”.

B.      Upon completion of the training, the participants will be given six (6) weeks to conduct the awareness sessions with the children between the ages of 8-11 years, building on the knowledge they gained from the training. The Project Manager will follow up with participants to ensure the completion of these sessions with children.

Criteria for Selection:
The purpose of the trainings is to ensure sensitization of children on the concepts of Gender equality and to target the maximum number of children possible.
The criteria for the selection of applications will be based on:
-      Having a certification or professional training in working with children who are 8-11 year old.
-      Have previous experience in training and/or facilitating issues related to gender concepts and child protection.
-      Willingness and availability to participate in all the training days and hours
-      Be willing to implement the information gained through the trainings by organizing at least two (2) awareness sessions with a group of children.

يسرّ "مؤسسة أبعاد- مركز الموارد للمساواة بين الجنسين" بالتعاون مع مؤسسة إنقاذ الطفل" الإعلان عن تنظيم ورشة عمل للمدربين والمدربّات حول إستخدام الرزمة التدريبية بعنوان: "لنلعب من أجل المساواة بين الجنسين". تستهدف الرزمة الأطفال بين عمر 8-11 سنةز
 ستعقد ورشة العمل في بيروت بين أيام 25 و 28 آب 2015 (سيتم تحديد مكان إنعقاد ورشتي العمل في وقت لاحق، وإبلاغه للراغبين/ات بالمشاركة في الورشة).
أهداف ورشة العمل
يرمي هذا التدريب إلى تحقيق الأهداف التالية:
-         تزويد المشاركين/ات بالإطار المعرفي اللازم حول النوع الإجتماعي والمفاهيم المتعلقة به لا سيما المساواة الجندرية، والأدوار الجندرية والعنف القائم على النوع الإجتماعي وكيفية العمل مع الأطفال حولها؛
-         تعريف المشاركين/ات على مختلف المفاهيم المتعلقة بالنوع الإجتماعي وأطر تداخلها بالإضافة إلى العوامل التي من شأنها المساهمة في تشكيل الهويات الجندرية للأطفال، وتطوير الحس النقدي  لديهم حول الأدوار المقولبة بحسب المجتمع؛  
-         تمكين المشاركين/ات من إستخدام هذه الأداة كل في مجال عمله المباشر مع الأطفال، وذلك عبر تزويد المشاركين/ات بتقنيات إيصال المعارف المتوخاة من خلال الألعاب العشر.
مضمون برنامج التدريب
سيتضمن برنامج التدريب ما يلي:
‌أ.        متابعة أعمال ورشة عمل في منطقة يبروت، تمتدّ على أربعة أيّام تنقسم إلى قسمين:
-       يشمل القسم الأوّل إطاراً مفاهيمياً يرمي إلى إكتساب المشاركين/ات لمفاهيم المساواة بين الجنسين بغية تمكينهم من الإستعداد للإجابة عن أسئلة من المحتمل طرحها من قبل الأطفال؛
-       يشمل القسم الثاني تقنيات تنفيذ الألعاب العشر التي تتضمنها رزمة "لنلعب من أجل المساواة بين الجنسين".
‌ب.    تنفيذ المشاركين/ات لجلسة متابعة تدريبية مع مجموعة من الأطفال تتراوح أعمارهم بين 8 و11 سنة بعد إنتهاء ورشة العمل، بناءً على المهارات والمعارف التي تم اكتسابها من ورشة العمل التدريبية قبل إنتهاء العام الحالي.  
ملامح المشاركين/ات
لضمان الوصول إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من الأطفال وحرصاً على فعاليّة برنامج التدريب لخدمة الأهداف المرجوّة منه، ثمة معايير لقبول طلبات المهتمّين/ات للمشاركة في ورشتي التدريب، وتتمثل بما يلي:
-        التمتع بالخبرة في العمل مع الأطفال عموماً، وضمن الفئة العمريّة التي يستهدفها المشروع أي 8-11 سنة إذا أمكن؛
-        خبرة العمل في االتدريب و/أو التوعية على مفاهيم النوع الإجتماعي و حماية الأطفال
-        الإستعداد والقدرة على المشاركة في كافّة أيّام وساعات التدريب؛ 
-        القدرة والتعهّد بوضع المعلومات والقدرات المكتسبة من برنامج التدريب حيّز التنفيذ لاحقاً، عبر تنظيم على الأقل جلستين مع مجموعة من الأطفال؛
