Job description
The social worker will deliver psycho social support (PSS) sessions for Persons with disability, elderly and their caregivers, addressing mental, emotional, and social challenges. They will also maintain regular contact with rehabilitation centers, supporting therapists in creating holistic care plans. Social workers will conduct outreach, complete beneficiary applications, and perform PS assessments to evaluate needs. Additionally, they will facilitate awareness sessions, build the capacity of community mobilizers, and generate progress reports to inform program adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
Psychosocial Support (PSS):
Deliver PSS sessions PWD and elderly.
Conduct PSS sessions to caregivers.
Psychosocial Assessments:
Evaluate the needs of beneficiaries and caregivers.
Case Management:
Monitor beneficiaries, develop and implement care plans.
Referrals:
Make referrals to appropriate services based on individual needs assessments.
Coordinate with referral focul point and ensure smooth transitions of care.
Outreach and Community Engagement:
Conduct outreach, build relationships, and raise awareness.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various teams project, and stakeholders.
Capacity Building:
Train and mentor community mobilizers.
Data Management and Reporting: Collect and analyze data, generate reports.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in providing PSS services to vulnerable populations.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of disability rights and inclusive development.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English.
