MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, schedule and monitor logistics of material/equipment according to needs and procedures.
Responsible for the maintenance of the warehouse premises.
Responsible for the maintenance of WVL equipment and assets.
Responsible to advise management on contracting and supply matters
Responsible to identify different distribution locations in Akkar area in coordination with the risk manager
Responsible of the management of logistics services (warehouse management (dispatching and storage of received goods), transport management, etc.)
handling the payments related to the logistics services
Support in implementation of Quick Impact Projects
Ensure Fleet Management
Check WV vehicles and follow up on any maintenance or repair needed
Follow up with the insurance company to repair WVL vehicles in case of accident
Submit weekly reports to the Fleet and Logistics supervisor on the cars’ condition and incidents reports on a timely manner
Be aware of emergency procedures in a response, and support in having the necessary preparedness measures implemented
Support in goods quality checks, reconciliations and preparation of reports
Ensure daily physical count, the reception of goods, the organization of the warehouse, as well as support and report quality control .
support in the implementation of the dispatch plan during the distribution phase.
Handle tracking, reporting on activities and filing
Progress reports are done and submitted as per the required deadline
Attend and participate actively in working group meetings and share relevant information with the management.
Perform other duties as required
Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally.
Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.
Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.
Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or any related filed
At least two years' work experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain or related field.
Familiarity with procurement and warehouse management is strongly desired
Proven security management skills, with emphasis on the unique security requirements of humanitarian aid work.
Direct personal experience of working successfully in hostile environments or under difficult operational circumstances.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work flexible schedule,
Good interpersonal skills and ability to create and work as a team.
Good knowledge of English
Computer proficiency
Driving license holder
75% field based
25% office based
Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
