Physical Therapy Consultant

- Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for targeted children.
- Reviews physicians’ referrals, prescriptions, and medical records of targeted children.
- Tests and measures children’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency; he/she records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
- Plans and prepares written treatment program based on the evaluation of targeted children’s data.
- Instructs, motivates, and assists targeted children to perform various physical activities (exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities …) and to use assistant-supportive devices, when applicable (crutches, canes, prostheses…).
- Records treatment, response, and progress of the targeted children (data entry).
- Instructs targeted children's families about treatment procedures in order to be continued at home.
- Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Follows up and refers cases to other specialists if needed.
- Provides the inclusion officers with reports concerning each case.
Necessary experience:
Education level:
Master’s degree in physical therapy
Require skills:
- Flexible
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Working under pressure
- Possibility of working during weekends
- Familiar with Excel, word, Outlook, google drive, Zoom
Years of experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience with children with special needs
