Designer / Animator Volunteer

1. Visual Storytelling:
• Develop short animations and motion graphics that illustrate key aspects of our projects – such as capacity-building efforts, local partner achievements, and beneficiary success stories.
• Design visually appealing infographics to present complex data and achievements in a user-friendly manner.
• Design the monthly social media calendar (including static posts, animations, and resizes for Stories, Reels, etc)
2. Social Media Content Creation:
• Create static and animated (animations; GIFs) posts tailored to War Child’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).
• Develop visually cohesive campaign materials to increase awareness and engagement.
3. Video Animation:
• Produce 2D/3D animations and explainer videos highlighting the project’s interventions in GBV, Child Protection, and MHPSS.
• Include subtitles, voiceovers, and appropriate music tracks to ensure accessibility and appeal of content.
4. Branding and Design:
• Ensure all visual outputs are aligned with War Child’s branding guidelines, tone, and style.
• Provide innovative designs that communicate the organisation’s mission effectively while resonating with diverse audiences.
Timeline
• Duration of Assignment: On a rolling basis.
• Deliverables to be staggered across the assignment period based on a monthly basis timeline (monthly requests / calendars).
Eligibility Criteria
This assignment is open to:
• Individual designers/animators.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• A degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital content creation, animation, and motion graphics.
• Proven portfolio demonstrating expertise in social media content creation, infographics, and animation – experience in the humanitarian field is a major plus.
• Familiarity with non-profit or humanitarian branding and messaging is an asset.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other animation tools.
• Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent Arabic and English language skills.
