Education Volunteer

General information about Venture Association: Venture Association/Al Qadisyeh in Beddawi Camp announces its need for an education volunteer within the project:

 “Strengthening access to quality and inclusive education services for the vulnerable boys and girls of the Palestinian refugee communities in Lebanon”- A project in partnership with TDH-ITALY – Funded by UNICEF.

• Job Title: Volunteer
• Duty Station/Location: Beddawi Camp
• Working between 5 days a week, 3 hours daily.
• Age: From 21 to 30 years old (for Palestinian youth)
• Project Duration: 6 months (Extendable to 12 months upon performance and availability of funds)

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing qualitative educational support to the children benefiting from the educational programs.
• Supporting as teaching assistant for classes and evaluating students’ progress.
• Planning and implementing lessons as per the directions of the education specialist and the coordinator.
• Preparing a file for each child as per the directions of specialist and the coordinator.
• Providing age appropriate supervision and discipline.
• Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the child.
• Addressing cultural and special needs.
• Contributing to the ongoing operations of the centers.
•  Keeping an ongoing positive communication with the parents.
• Act as teaching and educating assistant for students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.
• Responsible for submitting daily timesheet to the line manager.

Qualifications:

• University degree
• Presenting his/her best skills
• Has the ability to deal with children
• He/she has flexibility at work and he/she has the readiness to adapt to emergency work conditions
• He/she has the ability to participate in the training courses organized by the association and its partners
• Proficiency t in English and Arabic languages.
• Experience in computer skills "computer programs", experience in social networking platforms and creation of educational videos

• Ability to deliver information to different age groups.
• Excellent team player.
• Able to work under stress.
• Enthusiastic and looks for continuous self-development.
• Supervisory skill/planning and organizing skills

• The Exam & interview will be conducted in English
• Priority will be given to candidates residing in Beddawi camp
