Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Head of Primary Health Care (PHC) Department at MOPH and/or her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Associate Public Health Officer will:

 

  • Handle the Vital Data Observatory (VDO) System and Network including provision of support to VDO focal points in hospitals, ensuring continuity of reporting and training for focal points, updating of focal list of hospitals, implementing needed updates on the system and training focal points on it (birth defect form online), connecting the VDO system to the EPI system in order to create link between livebirth and vaccinated children, vaccination coverage per governorate;
  • Prepare twelve monthly reports on vital data, yearly report, and a dashboard in relation to pregnancies and deliveries, livebirth, stillbirth, IUFD, birth defects, maternal and neonatal death, fertility rate;
  • Conduct literature reviews, statistical analysis, database searches and manuscript preparation in relation to maternal and neonatal causes of death;
  • Liaise with colleagues internally and support MOPH staff on technical and research aspects related to reproductive health and EPI Programs;
  • Collect data on Reproductive Health (RH) from PHCCs and dispensaries and conduct statistical analysis as needed;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly report on RH data collected from PHCCs and dispensaries;
  • Handle requests from dispensaries on RH drugs and commodities;
  • Perform RH data entry on system;
  • Support the PHC department in preparing PHC annual report by analyzing and processing data related to the services provided in the PHC department (EPI, Reproductive health, Malnutrition and NCD screening, Chronic medication …);
  • Support the PHC department in any additional tasks related to the RH program;
  • Perform other duties as requested by the PHC Department.
