CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO SUPPORT OPERATING STARTUPS AND EXISTING BUSINESS IN THE NORTH

 

BE Unit, organized and implemented by Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club and GIZ,  is a Business Support Program designed to empower Operating Startups & MSMEs in their different business stages in order to help them establish and grow their Business in the North. 

Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club will ensure that they get the needed support in order to enhance their performance and optimize their chances to establish lucrative businesses, contribute to the economic empowerment of Tripoli and provide employment and internship opportunities for the vulnerable youth and women in the area, by helping them integrate innovative and data-driven solutions.

The program is targeting both Operating Startups and MSMEs.

 

Eligible businesses are invited to apply to this program. Experienced facilitators, mentors and trainers will be available to offer all the needed support. 

The Business Empowerment Unit is part of the Local Development Programme for Urban Areas in North Lebanon (UDP_NL), implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club and the Ministry of Social Affairs through financial support of the European Union and Germany.


 

“BE Unit” will provide to Operating Startups and Businesses hands-on support by experienced and professional trainers and coaching, and further business support and services including:

Access to Funding

Access to Market

Access to HR

Optimizing Operations

Legal & Accounting Services & Government Relations

Risk Mitigation & Resilience

 

Selection criteria

Status, achievement to-date, and potential:

Startup/Business is based in North Lebanon

Coachable & open for advice;

Has an ongoing venture/business that has a proven “product” or service with at least one customer if their strategy is business-to-business & 50 clients if it is business-t0-customers; 

Has a clear plan of action;

Has a proven record of dedication to the current business and possesses the resources (human & physical) to implement the advice.

 

Impact on the community:

Empowering vulnerable youth, vulnerable women and other vulnerable groups 

Preferably eco-friendly/environmentally friendly/green;

Corporate social responsibility

Do no harm;

Supporting local value chains;
