Social Expert

The social expert will be responsible of assessing the social situation in the targeted villages. The social expert shall evaluate the candidates and assess potential training participants. The expert will develop a list of recommendation per village that will be used for a roadmap development.

General Tasks

The tasks mentioned below shall be performed in close cooperation with the Project Director. The Consultant shall be responsible for carrying out all the necessary social data collection work and investigations to compile information and data required for the work.

The tasks involved will cover the following:

1. Conduct research related to the area of study
2. Perform interviews
3. Interpret experiment and research data
4. Develop and administer questionnaires and surveys for study participants

TECHNICAL DELIVERABLES

• Field visit and social assessment
• List of recommendations per village in the related field
• Final report and survey result

WORK DURATION

The activity will be conducted between July 1^st and August 31^th, 2023 thus the work duration shall not exceed 3 expert days including selection of participants for trainings and assessment of social situation in each village and delivering an analysis report on the social recommendations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in one or several of the following areas: social sciences or closely related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, focused on assessing social situation within a community, conducting studies relevant to the topics of this project
• Have previous experience in Lebanon and previous similar responsibilities in implementing similar context projects and activities.
