Position: Communications Officer
Reports to: Tahaddi Executive Director
Location: Tahaddi Center, Hay el Gharbeh, Southern Beirut
Work type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:00-3:30)
Position summary: The CO be in charge of Tahaddi’s external communications. This includes preparing visual and written content for Tahaddi’s social media outlets, website, newsletters and annual report. The CO will also provide support for the communication aspects of donor reporting including impact stories, photography, short videos and supporting donor site visits.
Location: Southern Beirut (Hay El Gharbeh)
Work type: Fixed-term full-time (8:00 AM- 3:30 PM)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create timely and regular visual and written content for all social media outlets
- Maintain Tahaddi’s website through updating photographs, short videos and written content
- Take and organize photographs of daily activities onsite
- Create promotional videos and presentations to increase Tahaddi’s visibility
- Draft and design quarterly newsletters
- Prepare Tahaddi’s Annual Report in close coordination with the Executive Director and any other assigned team members
- Manage the contact database
- Provide guided tours of Tahaddi’s center for visitors and support donor media teams
- Draft donor impact stories
- Perform any other relevant duties as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent English writing and editing skills
- Native English speaker, good Arabic language skills, French language skills a plus
- Strong photography and video editing skills
- Marketing and communication skills
- Bachelor Degree in PR or Communication or any equivalent
- At least 5 years of related experience in the NGO field
- Self-motivation, ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment
- Creative and innovative design sense
- Computer proficiency in Word, design software, film editing software,
- Willingness to work and interact respectfully with persons from economically disadvantaged communities and within basic facilities
- Adherence to Tahaddi’s core values of justice, integrity and compassion, and ability to work without prejudices.
