The socio-Economic Justice initiative is a local non-profit organization that aims to bridge inequalities within Lebanon through the promotion of a culture ofcitizen accountability, the production of qualitative and quantitative evidence-based research, and advocacy for stronger institutions of social protection. With this, MAAN aims to reform socio-economic policy through a rights-based approach and acting as a catalyst between grassroots groups and policy makers.
The applicant is required to work under the Civic Education Project. This project targets citizens most notably youth from all regions, and specifically calls for stakeholders in rural areas, for participants to engage in a variety of learning projects meant to increase civil and political knowledge, challenge the cultural status quo, and allow individuals to not only critically examine their cultural surroundings but also delve into introspection by questioning the role they play as citizens in each society.
DESCRIPTION of Tasks:
•Liaise with collaborative partners during the outreach process.
•Initiate the first contacts with applicants and take part in the selection of the final list of participants.
•Contribute to the production of materials registration forms, surveys, invitations, presentation & briefs…in a variety of media; to support the delivery of the workshops in consultation with the project manager.
•Deal with the day-to-day planning and support in the supervision of specific projects and teams to carry out associated duties
•Coordinate the implementation of the project with the other parties (Partners, participants, etc...)
•Support in tracking projects performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
•Work closely with the Project Manager in the overall implementation of project.
•Suggest potential training venues & confirm the reservation once decided on.
•Make sure that the venue is equipped with all the necessary facilitation material to conduct all the training sessions successfully.
•Finalize the reservations of accommodation, transportation & catering for participants, trainers…etc.
4- Social Media & Communication
•Assist in developing and maintains online content that attracts attention, generates interest, and is easily shared on social media platforms.
•Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, presentations and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities.
•Advise on various, creative, diversified and effective channels to communicate to external audiences.
•Develop activities reports and update of the implementation plans.
•Maintain relevant project data.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' relevant experience in outreach, communications role, and activity planning.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
•Good networking skills.
•Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
•Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
•Attention to detail.
•Agility to perform any relevant task assigned by the project manager.
•Able to work in the weekends and to travel with the team to different regions in Lebanon.
