Communication Officer

Role Summary:
The Communication Officer will assist in day-to-day communication matters in line with the SSVP objectives.
Moreover s/he will work in coordination with highest levels of the SSVP management and with various SSVP offices and branches.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Creative and Coordination:
- Developing photography and videography briefs for jobs, testimonials, and documentaries.
- Coordinating for shoots.
- Developing video animation briefs and coordinating with animators for content and branding alignment.
- Developing graphic design and creative briefs.
- Following-up for timely delivery of material and adherence to deadlines.
- Liaise with all service providers to support the production of communication material and events.
Social Media Coordination & Execution:
- Developing of monthly content calendars for social media.
- Creative coordination with graphic designer on the designs of campaigns for social media.
- Tracking of content and campaigns performance.
- Developing and implementing social media strategy and digital engagement plans to increase audience interaction and reach targeted groups based on campaign targets.
- Handling community management on social media.
- Managing and creating engaging content for social media platforms (Website Facebook, Instagram, Linked-in, Twitter and YouTube) promoting work, campaigns and advocacy objectives.
- Developing captions for social media posts.
- Developing an email strategy to maintain an optimized communication with all organization stakeholders.
Digital Coordination & Execution:
- Maintaining and updating website content.
- Launching online surveys and follow up on target results.
- Creating targeted e-mail marketing strategies utilizing insights.
Offline Media Coordination & Execution:
- Developing ATL and BTL marketing strategies.
- Coordinating for Offline/Online media buying campaigns when needed.
Events Coordination & Execution:
- Coordinating of networking, promotional, and national events.
- Developing and implementing of events action plans.
- Representing the organization in national events.
- Setting up event participation plan.
- Developing press releases.
- Acting as spokesperson for the media when requested.
Branding and Visibility:
- Maintaining branding identity and ensuring visibility policy applies.
- Searching for potential brand partners to promote through special events (exhibitions and events)
Coordination with internal units:
- Developing annual report/Impact report/Success stories.
- Developing tools and visibility materials (Printables, Presentations, Videos, Images).
- Preparing infographics, brochures and leaflets about activities and projects.
- Preparing/ reviewing documents and presentations and ensuring their alignment with the brand’s guidelines.
- Coordinating with the HR on the development and launching of new vacancies.
- Coordinating with Operations on the development and implementation of campaigns and visibility materials according to projects’ requirements, as well as project partners on the implementation of campaigns.
- Supporting communication-related training and coaching for staff/volunteers of other sectors/branches when needed.
Budget forecasting and procurement:
- Setting up spending strategies and monitoring the communications budgets
Job Requirement:
- 3-5 years’ experience in communications, digital advertising, social media marketing.
- Experience in using photography, video editing, filming and sound equipment.
- Experience in graphic design.
- Effectively communicating information and ideas in written and visual formats.
- Experience in humanitarian and NGO settings is a strong asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields.
- Language: Arabic, English, French.
Competencies:
- Proficient in media platforms, tools and technologies, social media.
- Computer skills (MS Office, Adobe, Mailchimp and other software).
- Creative content and ideation management.
- Strongly motivated.
- Able to work under pressure with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
