Job Description:

Leadership and Representation

  • Represent SHEILD and the project teams at all relevant donor and stakeholder meetings as required
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with all stakeholders in the respective geographic areas

Program Quality and Management

  • Oversee and manage distribution of food assistance cards / pins in assigned locations of distributions
  • Manage field distribution teams in assigned locations of distribution
  • Ensure that adequate records of all financial and commodity transactions are maintained at all levels of operation, including but not be limited to receipt, storage, dispatch and distribution
  • Ensure required documentation is correctly filled out and submitted to the Program Manager upon return from the field
  • Oversee logistical planning and procurement (equipment, refreshments etc.) for upcoming field operations
  • Maintain familiarity with all aspects of program strategies, logistics, personnel, and beneficiaries
  • Ensure staff compliance with all SHEILD administrative and operational procedures and policies, as well as WFP regulations
  • Monitor and report to the PM on the on-going environment within the assigned locations of distribution

Supervision

  • Ensure annual performance planning and reviews of staff performance in keeping with SHEILD’s performance management system
  • Mentor staff to ensure high levels of motivation, commitment, capacity and teamwork.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all SHEILD administrative and operational procedures and policies, as well as applicable donor regulations
  • Identify training needs for team members under his/her supervision and support the development of Program Quality capacity building for team members.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to mobile teams at the field level
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Data

  • Collect, organize and archive datasets provided by partners
  • Process data tables including, but not limited to, reformatting data type, checking data quality, and modifying or cleaning data as needed
  • Transfer, enter or upload data tables
  • Maintain a current archive of reference materials used to generate the information stored in the database.
  • Follow up on data collection by mail and phone calls
  • Support with administrative tasks
