Background:

Beirut based non-profit organisation Sharq is developing an archive of Syrian oral histories. Our focus during this phase of the project is on interviewing members of Syrian communities that embraced a culture and way of life now under threat due to war and displacement.

As part of this endeavor, Sharq is seeking Syrians (incl. Palestinian Syrians) active within the various rural and urban refugee communities throughout Lebanon.

Up to 18 participants will be offered the opportunity to undergo intense training in interview and documentation techniques. Those who successfully complete the training will be commissioned to conduct and document interviews with select Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Participants will be supported by the project team throughout the process and remunerated for each completed and documented interview.

Participant criteria:

Only applicants who fulfill all the following criteria will be considered:

Available to attend all three training days in Beirut on 9, 10 & 12 January Syrian, Syrian Palestinian or born to a Syrian mother Have previously lived in Syria Fluent in spoken Arabic Have completed in full and submitted the application form

خلفية - منظمة شرق في بيروت تعمل الآن على تنمية ارشيف من السيَر التاريخية الشفوية. في المرحلة الحالية تسعى المنظمة بتسجيل سيَر حياة سوريين كانوا يعيشون وسط مجتمعات كانت لها ثقافة وطريقة حياة و التي تهدد الان بسبب الحرب والنزوح

تحقيقا لهذه الغاية، ترغب المظمة بالتعاون من سوريين (وفلسطينيين من سورية) ناشطين في احد المدن والارياف التي تستضيف لاجئين سوريين في لبنان

سوف ندعوا تقريبا ١٨ مشارك لحضور تدريب المقابلة، تسجيل السيرة الذاتية الشفهية والارشفة.
وسيتم تكليف أولئك اكملوا تدريبهم بنجاح لإجراء وتوثيق مقابلات مع بعض اللاجئين السوريين في لبنان. سيحصل كل المساهمين في المشروع دعم كامل من فريق العمل ومردود مادي لكل مقابلة مسجلة كاملة.

شروط المشاركة

ان يكون المشارك
١. سوري، فلسطيني سوري او من ام سورية
٢. قادر على حضور كل ساعات التدريب التي ستقام ٩، ١٠، و ١٢ كانون الثاني
٣. سكن في سورية سابقا
٤. قادر على التحدث باللغة العربية بطلاقة
