About Sharekkna

Sharekkna is an online service for rising specialists, startups, small business owners, CSOs, and NGOs, where they can share videos and stories about their work and their humanitarian initiatives. The main objective is to spread verified knowledge and bridge the awareness gap between the community and the presenters.

Job Overview

The Grants Officer Intern will support Sharekkna in developing and implementing its grants system to ensure effective and efficient grant-making processes.

Sharekkna Grants Officer Internship is done over 180 consecutive days. The intern will have a target to achieve at the end of the internship with a final report submitted to track and follow up on the work done. This may be exceptionally extended. The internship recommendation letter is awarded on the recommendation of the direct preceptor.

Interns are not financially remunerated because Sharekkna is a free service for community awareness. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Sharekkna accepts no responsibility for the medical insurance of the intern or costs arising from injury, illness, or death that may occur during an internship.

Major responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities will depend on the assigned tasks.

Nothing is obligatory. Flexibility is here. We care about the outcome and care not to overwhelm the intern with unnecessary stress.

  • Conduct a comprehensive stakeholder mapping of all local and international donors, operating in funding areas related to advocacy and awareness.
  • Conduct a comprehensive stakeholder mapping of all local and international donors, operating in funding platforms that spread awareness and fight misinformation about Covid-19.
  • Establish contact with the local CSO and NGOs to discuss potential collaboration initiatives.
  • Review and document the requirements of the relevant donors and initiate contact with them.
  • Develop communication material to convey the objective statement and current strategy of Sharekkna MENA to the humanitarian actors, governmental institutions, and public organizations.
  • Support Sharekkna in implementing fundraising initiatives in Lebanon and other countries.
  • Develop concept notes.
  • Assist in developing internal procedures for grants management based on best practices.
  • Maintain communication with donors.
  • Draft and edit grants reports.
  • Send weekly updates to Sharekkna to coordinate timely reporting.

Interns applicants must: • Be enrolled at least in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) in fields related to International affairs, development, project management; OR • have graduated with a university degree in fields related to International affairs, development, project management. • Be computer literate in standard software applications, in particular, Microsoft Word and Excel; • Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views. • Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in this internship program.
