About Sharekkna

Sharekkna is an online service for rising specialists, startups, small business owners, CSOs, and NGOs, where they can share videos and stories about their work and their humanitarian initiatives. The main objective is to spread referenced knowledge and bridge the awareness gap between the community and the presenters.

In August 2020, we launched The Changemakers initiative, a place where CSOs, NGOs & Startups can share their stories through the #SharekknaTheChange. The Changemakers platform also guides people who can’t decide which CSO, NGO, or Project to donate for.

Job Overview

“We’re not just fighting an epidemic; we’re fighting an infodemic,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Sharekkna is calling on journalists and media students, graduates, and volunteering-oriented people, to join in producing impactful content to help fight against the “Infodemic” of misinformation and rumors that have hampered efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19. This initiative is designed to improve community access to trustworthy and verified information about the virus and its impact.

Since we only broadcast referenced awareness, we feel responsible to urgently promote facts and science to overcome the real enemy that is an “infodemic” of misinformation.

The main task for this internship is to collect videos and stories from specialists who know very well about the new Coronavirus and people who have Covid-19. The Intern will have in hand a list of contacts, emails, phone numbers, names, or social media profiles that might be helpful in this. The objective is to make sure people who watch Sharekkna online have the best, most credible information and also inspiration from examples of cooperation and viral acts of humanity.

This internship is within the External Relations and Communication Section of Sharekkna. The intern reports directly to the Internship program.

Sharekkna Internship is done usually over 30 consecutive days. The intern will have a target to achieve at the end of every internship with a final report submitted to track and follow up on the work done. This may be exceptionally extended for a maximum period of 60 days. The internship certificate is awarded on the recommendation of the Internship program.

Interns are not financially remunerated because Sharekkna is a free service for community awareness. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Sharekkna accepts no responsibility for the medical insurance of the intern or costs arising from injury, illness, or death that may occur during an internship.
