Description: 

Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Project Manager, the intern will provide support to the project team by assisting in administrative, technical and financial aspects of the project to ensure it meets the quality requirements, delivers on time and that organizational learning is captured. 

The intern must be available to work 25-30 hours per week, and must commit to 6 months.

Reports to: Project Manager
Direct Reports: None

Working relationships: Works closely with Project Manager and colleagues from other projects and departments (Finance, Supply Chain and Procurement)

Budget Managed: N/A

Key Area 1: Ensure compliance with Search internal administrative, technical and financial reporting standards, procedures and requirements

Key Area 2: Collaborate with project team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that project runs on time and budget

Key Area 3: Provide active role and use critical judgment in the development of all project deliverables

Key Area 4: Plan meetings, trainings and workshops, and assist in relevant invitations and logistical preparations

Key Area 5: Contribute to quality and timely submission of all project deliverables and documentation as assigned by the Project Manager

Key Area 6: Undertake field visits and attend meetings with partner and other relevant stakeholders when needed and as assigned by the Project Manager

Key Area 7: Maintain and regularly update Project folder in Google Drive

Key Area 8: Effectively communicate with the Project Manager for any issues related to the project

Minimum Qualifications: 

BA (completed or in progress) in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Conflict Resolution, Peacebuilding, or any relevant field of study

Commitment to human rights, gender equality and non-discrimination

Very good understanding of Lebanon’s political, legal, and social systems as related to violence and gender based violence

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience in working with civil society organizations and/or project management is a plus. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic is mandatory.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Self-starter, able to work independently, and willing to take on tasks small and large
