We are searching for…
A consultant to conduct training on “Strategic Planning” as part of “Diwan” a peace building and stabilization project implemented in Wadi Khaled. The project aims to ensure that local decision making processes in Wadi Khaled are more inclusive and participatory. The Ultimate Outcome of this project is to ensure that development in Wadi Khaled is inclusive. The Intermediate Outcome is that local leaders and community members develop respectful relationships with one another, and thereby collaborate more effectively to promote future development and stability.

The trainer role will be to prepare the training methodology and materials as this Training will target three different groups, representatives of eight municipalities, Youth, and women of Wadi Khaled. Who will play an advocacy role in reflecting the needs and challenges of the community, this training is expected to start on September 25;

Your contribution

The roles and responsibilities of the consultant will include:

 

  • In consultation with Search Project Coordinator, develop a training Methodology;
  • In consultation with Search Project Coordinator draft the agenda of the training which includes clear objectives and expectations of each session;
  • Deliver 3 days training on Strategic Planning  for the different stakeholders in a total of nine days;
  • Ensuring that the trainings  are progressing as planned and effectively managing group dynamics in a way that evokes creativity and participation;
  • Prepare evaluation forms, pre and post-tests, in coordination with Search’s Monitoring and Evaluation department; and
  • Submit a final report on the workshop pursuant to Search’s reporting requirements.

 

You are…

Search Lebanon seeks an experienced consultant with the following qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the SMART Goal development and Strategic Planning ;
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and delivery of similar trainings and designing evaluation forms and pre and post-tests;
  • Ability to tailor training modules to the specific needs of trainees;
  • Experience in raising awareness and mobilizing disadvantaged communities;
  • Strong knowledge of the Lebanese context and the implications of the Syrian refugee crisis;
  • Profound knowledge of conflict transformation , conflict sensitivity and gender sensitivity;
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible; and
  • Experience in working with international organizations
