We are searching for…

A trainer specialized in dialogue, facilitation and mentoring who will take the lead on organizing one on one online coaching sessions for agents of change for the Selat Wasel (II) project funded by the European Union and the General Federal Foreign office through GIZ.

 

Your contribution

The roles and responsibilities will include:

 

1)Plan and conduct an online one-on-one  training sessions on mediation for each of project’s field teams to build their capacities and  prepare them to hold mediation workshops in their areas of operation. This is to support them in successfully completing the activity through follow up and mentoring on mediation skills and approaches which includes:

 

a- Drafting an inception report that includes the agenda, methodology, expectations and outcomes in addition to the exercises and tools used for the online on mediation;

 

b- Delivering three online one-on-one training sessions on mediation for the six field teams.

 

2)Responsible of compilation and analysis of notes from participants throughout the implementation period of the activity to produce a comprehensive document presenting the main points related to mediation, feedback of participants and next steps.

 

 

3)Responsible for the management and reporting on the online one-on-one  training sessions on mediation, compilation of information ensuring timely and qualitative reporting;

 

4)Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the progress of online one-on-one training sessions on mediation, compilation of information ensuring capturing successes, changes, challenges, and lessons learnt;

 

5)Responsible for compiling information throughout the implementation of the online one-on-one training sessions on mediation to feed into the recommendation paper.

 

6)Deliver an activity report based on Search’s template.

 

Timeline Deadlines:

  • Application Deadline: 30th of January 2019
  • Mediation, facilitation, and Dialogue Activity Report deadline (tentative): April 10th, 2019

You have…

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience, including training on mediation, conflict transformation and facilitation
  • Experience in organizing and managing online training
  • Awareness of the overall security situation and community dynamics  in Syria
  • University academic background
  • Previous experience working with an international organization is an advantage
  • Peacebuilding values and attitudes: a personal commitment to use nonviolence and dialogue as effective methods to prevent and resolve daily problems
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in Arabic and English
  • Capacity to empathize with others
  • Creative problem solving, particularly in challenging situations
  • Good communications and reporting skills
