Search first worked in Lebanon in 1996, addressing multiple issues arising within Lebanon's diverse society. SFCG seeking to have a Long Term Agreement (LTA) for: IT Consultant

Responsibilities :

• Conduct weekly visits to Search office (2 visits, 4 hours each) defined by the line manager upon need
• Conduct field visits as requested to serve Search project implementation (upon need)
• Manages and coordinates all IT-related matters including data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software
• Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs
• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
• Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
• Analyze business requirements and develop solutions for IT needs
• Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
• Logistics and handover of IT equipment internally and externally
• Provide remote IT support for Search office
• Placing security/data protection and backup policies that meet HQ recommendations

Requirements :

• Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5 years’ experience in information technology management (preferred work with iNGOs)
• Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
• Strong problem solving and communication skills required 
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
• Strong creative, analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
