1 – Ruwwad Al Tanmeya Organization Overview

Ruwwad Al-Tanmeya is a regional non-profit community development organization that works with disenfranchised communities through education, youth volunteerism and grassroots organizing. Our approach encompasses an array of programs and projects that, together, strengthen initiative and facilitate redress to problems prioritized by members of the community. Three main programs anchor Ruwwad: Child Development, Youth Organizing and Community Support. Three basic values shape every program or activity at Ruwwad Al-Tanmeya: secularism, diversity, and equity.

2 – WATAD’s Project Objectives

The purpose of the project is to improve the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable populations within Tripoli, and this by setting two specific objectives:

  1. Support the local economy through the creation of businesses and support for existing businesses,
  2.  Improve social cohesion between communities.

It is structured around two components:

  1. Support for the creation of small and very small businesses (MSME) through the launch of a seed fund.
  2. Support for the development of existing businesses through the Launch of an acceleration fund.

The project aiming to contribute to the stability of Tripoli will be implemented by Ruwwad Al Tanmeya organization and is funded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD). Residents in Tripoli in general, and the most disenfranchised neighborhoods, in particular, are the target audience of WATAD project.

WATAD stands for Work Acceleration in Tripoli towards Advancement and Development.

3 – Operational Objective:

Ruwwad seeks to procure numerous numbers of Sewing machines to the beneficiaries of WATAD’s project.

You will find attached an Excel sheet including the requested equipment plus the specifications & the quantity needed of each.

4 – The quotation must include:

  • Same requested specification
  • The origin of each item (China, Europe...)
  • The number of the registration in the ministry of finance
  • Same names of items mentioned in the attachment “list of items”
  • Delivery period
  • Warranty
  • VAT in LBP
  • Prices in USD
  • Payment Terms

5 – Bidders must send:

All Bidders are required to send the below requirements to the procurement officer, Mr. Omar Shammo through this email [email protected] .

  • The quotation (signed/Stamped).
  • The Request for quotation form should be sent (stamped & signed).
  • Certificate of the registration in the ministry of finance (الشهاد المالية).
  • References (similar executed type of work).
  • The invitation for bid should be sent (signed & stamped).

6 – Payment Terms:

  • Fresh Dollar Cash or bank transfer.

7 – Questions/ Request for clarification

8 – Timeframe

Quotations and the requested papers should be submitted 10 days after the day of posting this tender.

9 – Important

Kindly note that the quotation will be automatically rejected if

  • The bidder doesn’t send all the requested papers (mentioned in number 5).
  • The quotation doesn’t include the requirements (mentioned in number 4).
  • The quotation is received after the deadline.

It would be an added value if you provide us with pictures for the items and reference contact of INGOs and NGOs
