Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist.

Position summary

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing MEL Plans, M&E frameworks, log-frames, tools and indicators, in line with donor reporting requirements, for all RMF projects. The M&E Specialist will work along the M&E Officers to support RMF Programs and Projects.

The main objective of this position is to ensure that data on program beneficiaries, progress, performance and outcomes are effectively collected, entered, analyzed and documented, in a way to inform timely decision making and the adoption of sound corrective measures, as well as to contribute to broader learning across all RMF sectors.

The M&E Specialist will report directly to the M&E Head of Department.

Regular tasks:

  • Elaborate Policies and Monitoring and Evaluation Plans (MEL) (During Proposal Writing phase + Implementation phase)
  • Elaborate Templates and Surveys Design for all RMF Programs
  • Responsible of all written narrative material coming out from the M&E department
  • Elaborate and write success stories for all RMF projects
  • Issue daily stories, highlights on impact ongoing in the field
  • Feeding the Communication Department with Impact, Success and highlight stories
  • Feeding the M&E reporting systems with info, numbers, and progress
  • Working closely with the Projects Managers and Program Directors during their project progress
  • Responsible for Data Validation, Data Management, Data Analysis and Data Visualization

Education and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in the Monitoring, Evaluation field, preferably with knowledge on needs/impact assessment methods.
  • Strong experience in narrative reporting.
  • Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
  • Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in digital tools development using XLS coding (ODK, KOBO, Survey123…)
  • Experience in using SharePoint
  • Experience in training and coaching
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to use computer programs to collect, document and share assessment and monitoring results
  • Preferred experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis (preferred using SPSS, Atlas.ti)
  • Team player who takes initiative, is a problem-solver and able to multi-task
  • Interpersonal and Organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and Ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated understanding of emergency response activities
