TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Implementation/Management:
- Provide case management support in accordance with the MOSA National Standard Operating Procedures for at-risk children, including identification, assessment, referral to relevant services, and follow-up for both children and families in collective shelters in El Meten, ensuring confidential documentation.
- Ensure that activities are implemented in alignment with national policies, procedures, and standards.
- Operate across collective shelters, with a focus on outreach work and identifying the most vulnerable children, in coordination with other sectors and in line with the organizational strategy.
- Provide case management support to vulnerable children, including training, coaching, and social support for displaced families.
- Offer information and assistance in accessing specialized services to ensure children and families receive appropriate support.
- Update service mapping regularly and identify gaps to enhance service delivery.
- Communicate protection trends, gaps, needs, and risks promptly to inform interventions.
Team Management and Capacity Building:
- Supervise and coach caseworkers in the identification, assessment, referral, and follow-up of at-risk children and families.
- Support caseworkers in delivering PSS (psychosocial support) activities when required.
- Participate in weekly case management and coordination meetings, including submitting reports on outreach activities, caseloads, family situations, and related challenges.
- Maintain accurate records through files, registers, and computer databases, including the use of the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS).
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team, ensuring clear communication of relevant information to maintain high-quality case management.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including those related to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities, and other organizational standards.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of experience in case management or child protection programming within humanitarian, development, or community-based settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MOSA National Standard Operating Procedures and other relevant child protection frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
- Proven experience working with at-risk children and vulnerable populations in diverse contexts, such as informal settlements, community spaces, and local communities.
- Experience in outreach work and coordination with other sectors to identify and support vulnerable children.
- Hands-on experience in coaching and supervising caseworkers and managing the delivery of psychosocial support (PSS) services.
- Experience with service mapping, needs assessments, and facilitating referrals to specialized services.
- Proven ability to conduct case conferences, manage documentation, and use Child Protection Information Management Systems (CPIMS) or similar databases.
- Familiarity with protection trends, risks, and gaps within humanitarian contexts and the ability to report them effectively.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong case management skills, including the ability to assess, refer, and follow up on cases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with children, families, host families, and stakeholders.
- Supervisory and coaching skills to support and guide caseworkers and other team members.
- Organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Data management and reporting skills, including proficiency in CPIMS or other case management tools.
- Knowledge of psychosocial support (PSS) approaches and the ability to deliver or supervise such activities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle challenges effectively in the field.
- Cultural sensitivity and empathy when working with vulnerable children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, maintaining fluid communication and information sharing.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken); knowledge of French is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant digital platforms.
