CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – Fellowship Program

About the fellowship:

The fellowship is an 8-month training and mentoring program focused on the legal and medical aspects of bodily autonomy in the Lebanese context and its impact on trans individuals' experience.

The fellowship is initiated and hosted by Qorras and its curriculum is conceived as a modular program covering the legal, medical, psychological, and social dimensions related to the exercise of bodily rights in Lebanon.

Over a period of six months, training sessions will be delivered by a diverse selection of invited speakers with relevant local experience. Throughout the duration of the fellowship, the 10 selected participants will develop individual projects under the guidance of a resident advisor. The last two months of the fellowship will be dedicated to finalizing and presenting the fellows' projects.

The program is addressed primarily to early and mid-career individuals who are passionate about issues related to bodily autonomy, gender, and sexuality. Participants will gain practical and theoretical knowledge about legal and medical frameworks. We encourage applicants with backgrounds in law, medicine, social work, community organizing, mutual aid, and/or peer support.
