ROLE PURPOSE

Plan International is looking to recruit four youth volunteers to support the safe and appropriate distribution of household hygiene kits and food parcels distribution project to affected migrant domestic workers from different nationalities in the areas that were affected by the blast such as Karm al Zaytoun, Basta, Borj Hamoud, Ain Al Remeneh and others. 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Participate in relevant trainings on safeguarding, gender equality and safe identification and referrals;
•    Prepare a weekly distribution plan in coordination with Plan International Focal Point;
•    Coordinate with potential beneficiaries to set appointments for the door-to-door distribution
•    Handle data entry for targeted beneficiaries and report challenges and concerns.
•    Other related duties requested from the supervisor.
•    Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

 

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The youth volunteers will report directly to the Emergency Project Manager.

 

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential
-    Knowledge in sensitive topics and social trends on Protection & SGBV 

Experience:
-    0-1 year of relevant experience, volunteering with NGOs, public agencies or any other related field. 
-    Experience in outreach activities or community events 
-    Experience in data entry

Degree:
-    University student, Bachelor’s degree is a plus

Skills
-    Good in written and spoken English & Arabic language
-    Ability to work under pressure 
-    Flexibility in terms of working hours and working locations 
-    Good communication and interpersonal skills
