19/LHF/2024 Call for the Provision of Trucking Services

The Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM), with the funding of Lebanon Humanitarian Fund – LHF, is in the process of implementing a humanitarian project in Akkar Governorate titled: "Comprehensive Support for Vulnerable Households with elderly, PwSN in Wadi Khaled, Sahel and Jurd El Qayteh”. The project will contribute to the well-being of the most vulnerable families through the provision of food and WaSH parcels.

PCPM, hereby, invites you to submit a quotation for trucking service within the area of Akkar for the period of 6 months (November 2024 - April 2025) as specified in Annex I, ‘Schedule of Works and Specifications of Goods / Services’, and in accordance with the ‘Requirements and Conditions”. 

The service requires loading, transportation, and unloading of materials that will be distributed in specified locations in Akkar or door-to-door to households in Akkar on specific days. The area covered is all Akkar including Wadi Khaled, Jurd El Qayteh and Sahel Akkar villages, with the starting point in Qobayat- Akkar.

The intensity of the service requires simultaneous usage of 1-3 trucks (Size: at least 3.5 tons), for 4-12 days per month, each with a driver and a crew of daily workers who will be charged with loading and unloading the materials. The number of daily workers needed will be identified by PCPM on weekly basis based on the needs (A weekly order sheet will be shared by PCPM with the contractor prior to the distributions).

Loading and unloading to be done as per the instructions of the Warehouse Manager and PCPM’s Logistics and Field Officers.

PCPM reserves the right to change, cancel, or postpone their specified delivery locations and timetable for any reasonable grounds. The Supplier shall demonstrate the necessary flexibility to adapt to said changes and be responsible to deliver the transported goods to the new sites within Akkar based on the newly set time and date if needed.

The transported goods will include items sensitive to rain and humidity (carton boxes with food and hygiene items). The trucks must offer good protection from the elements (covered trunks with possibility to lock the back cover). Please attach a photo of the truck for reference.

Only legally registered and insured trucks will be considered. The Supplier shall be responsible for any harm or injury incurred by the daily workers, the beneficiaries, or the transported items under his/her watch.
