Description

Oxfam is an organization that works to address the causes of poverty through campaigning and responding to the needs of the poor. In Lebanon, Oxfam works in both development and humanitarian contexts, focusing particularly on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Protection and Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods. In responding to the Syrian Refugee Crisis, Oxfam addresses the emergency water needs through WaSH service provision to populations residing in informal settlements; and to those of the Lebanese host communities and local authorities through efforts to improve water infrastructure and management systems.

Oxfam has been responding to the Syrian Crisis since 2013, operating via integrated projects in the informal tented settlement across 10 municipalities Saaide, Bouday, Deir Al Ahmar, Chlifa, Btedei, Hor Taala, Hosh Barada, Hosh Tal Safeyeh, Talia, Jabaa in the North Bekaa. Oxfam’s response includes water trucking services, water tank distributions, and water quality monitoring; provision of family latrines with gender-sensitive considerations and for persons with special needs, construction of grey water system, and latrine desludging services; and provision of public health awareness activities and distribution of NFI. On the other hand, Oxfam has a strong focus on community-based protection, advocacy, and linkages with specialized service providers. Protection activities are carried out in coordination with other programs, such as WASH and small-scale livelihood support activities.

Job Description

Oxfam aims to produce a series of animated videos and a booklet  to:

1. Raise awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic
2. Highlight the steps that the community needs to take in case they contract covid-19
3. To present the steps that need to be followed to register in the IMPACT online platform
4. Process of accessing medical services in the Bekaa region
5.  Menstrual Hygiene Management (Female reproductive system, menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene…)-Info graph.

The consultant will:

1. Develop 4 short animated videos (1-2 minutes) regarding the following topics: 1) General information about the COVID-19 Pandemic 2) what to do when you get infected and how to deal with someone infected with COVID19 3) How to register with IMPACT for the vaccine 4) Process of accessing medical services in the Bekaa region and one info graph regarding the Menstrual Hygiene Management (Female reproductive system, menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene,…)-
2. Provide voice recording services and narrators (VO)
3. Design a booklet on Menstrual Hygiene Management, including illustrations
4. Develop a comprehensive action plan and timeline for production
5. Timeline should take into consideration rounds of revision
6. Tailor key messages to be communicated in the Video/voice record and the booklet
7. Follow Oxfam and donor's guidelines

Oxfam will:

1. Provide content of the videos and booklet
2. Approve the plan and timeline
3. Revise and approve the videos and booklet

Qualifications

• Availability to start immediately
• Motion graphics, assets creation and animation skills
• Experience in ideation and content creation for social media campaigns and advocacy work
• Familiarity with the Syrians community context in Lebanon
• Familiarity and sensitivity working on topics related to women and menstrual hygiene management (preferrable) 
• Working languages: English and Arabic
• Excellent coordination and communication skills, flexible attitude and respect for deadlines
