Human development center in Ein El Helweh camp announces the need for a social worker.
Project: Building Resilient and Vibrant Environment is implemented in partnership with ARCPA Funded by UNICEF
Key Responsivities:
- Conduct a rapid assessment interview with the target population
- Identifying and registering individuals at risk (social file)
- Develop an individual case plan for each beneficiary with clear outcomes and time frames.
- Prepare and conduct PSS activities (individual, groups) in line with global and national inter-agency SOPs/standards such as emotional support groups, facilitate focus group discussions and develop both of the knowledge and skills of children
- Follow up, monitor and review the situation regularly (re-evaluate weak points)
- Redevelop the case plan and repeat the process if new vulnerabilities appear.
- Providing information, support and assistance to people in need.
- Referring other organizations according to need.
- Follow up with beneficiaries to monitor their progress.
- Coordinate with psychotherapists and health professionals to reset cases and progress.
- Spreading awareness among the families of beneficiaries during treatment
- Provide feedback on referrals/active patients to the lead partner and PSS coordinators and provide monthly reports.
- Participate in training modules, case conferences, supervision and team meetings.
- Managing, filling out and archiving specific forms for specific cases on the data software system (social files, attendance sheets, pre- and post-tests as well as session recording sheets...), ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timelines
- Conduct home visits as needed.
- Actively participate in weekly meetings with coordinators and other team members involved in project implementation to discuss challenges faced, achievements, difficulties and lessons learned.
- Attend and participate in capacity-building training.
- Attend and participate in organization events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have skills in working with people of all ages and social groups;
- High integrity in social interactions
- Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social work, social science, psychology)
- Preferred: At least three years of experience
Personal Skills:
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of responsibility
- Preference to candidates with field experience inside the camp he is assigned to work in.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and proactive negotiation skills.
- Skilled at working with local communities and authorities
- Understanding of policies concerning Child Protection.
- Familiar with core principles of Children's Rights, Participation, Do No Harm.
- Excellent team player.
- Able to work under stress.
- Enthusiastic and looks for continuous self-development.
- Planning and organizing skills
Job Procedures:
- Shortlisted Candidates will be invited for interview
- Priority will be given to fully qualify registered Palestinian refugee candidates residing in Ein El Helweh Camp and its surroundings.
Working Days: 5 days a week (8 hours/day)
