Background and Justification
MOSAIC is a holistic program committed to improve the health and well-being of marginalized and vulnerablized groups in Lebanon and beyond. Through its presence and networks in Lebanon and the MENA region, MOSAIC's strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in their respective communities and national systems. Founded by activists, legal and health experts in September 2014, MOSAIC provides specialized and comprehensive services for marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, develop knowledge and capacities on SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Expressions, and Sex Characteristics) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ+ rights violations.
Scope of Work
Under the overall supervision of MOSAIC’s General Director and Program Manager, the Case Managers will perform a wide range of duties related to protection and SGBV, including case management and social-follow ups, and provide other adequate services to LGBTIQ+ individuals survivors or at risk of violence, through internal and external referrals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Beneficiary Assessment and Intake:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for LBTQ individuals to identify needs, challenges, and potential interventions.
Carry out social assessments and fill intake questionnaires for participants.
Detect, counsel, and manage individual cases identified during psychosocial activities, outreach, or helpline.
Intervention and Case Planning:
Develop personalized care plans tailored to the unique needs and situations of LBTQ beneficiaries.
Provide listening and counseling services to LGBTIQ+ individuals, especially those survivors or at risk of violence.
Continuously monitor and follow up on individual cases to adapt and refine care plans.
Resource Linkage and Advocacy:
Connect beneficiaries to essential resources, including healthcare, legal aid, emergency assistance, mental health services, and more.
Accompany SGBV victims to specific service providers when needed and advocate with institutions to facilitate resource access.
Facilitate internal and external referrals for beneficiaries, ensuring synergy with primary service providers in the area of intervention.
Support Provision:
Provide basic emotional support for urgent cases and facilitate psychosocial support sessions under the supervision of an MHPSS advisor.
Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance, food, and hygiene kits to the most vulnerable participants based on assessed needs and internal procedures.
Coordination and Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with social workers, program managers, and other team members to ensure holistic support for beneficiaries.
Attend case management meetings, SGBV WG meetings, and other related assemblies as required.
Provide weekly updates to the Program Manager on new and ongoing cases assessed.
Documentation and Data Management:
Maintain updated and detailed records of beneficiaries, adhering to data confidentiality and ethical standards.
Handle Mosaic’s Helpline and manage specific forms for case profiling, referral, and weekly reporting.
Support the maintenance of the MOSAIC case management system and the SGBV Information Management System, ensuring the protocol for data protection is followed.
Professional Development:
Attend training sessions and meetings, both in-house and externally, to bolster knowledge on SOGIESC, LBTQ issues, case management best practices, and related topics.
Miscellaneous:
Conduct door-to-door visits when required and be involved in activities in and outside the centers.
Accomplish any other tasks or assignments given by the Program Manager or MOSAIC’s Director.
