Facilitator to organize three four-day capacity-building workshops targeting women who use drugs in Morocco.
Women in the MENA Region face multiple challenges: they live in a patriarchal society where traditional gender roles are prevalent and clearly defined. Women from Key Populations, in particular Women Who Use Drugs (WWUD), encounter additional challenges: they face Stigma and Discrimination, less social support than their male counterparts and are usually rejected by their family. They are more likely to suffer violence from intimate partners, dealers or family.
Accordingly, under the GNP+ Love Alliance grant, MENA Rosa, in collaboration with l’Asssociation de Lutte Contre le Sida, ALCS, and through the Focal Points, wishes to organize a four-day capacity building workshop targeting WWUD in Tangier, Tetouan and Nador in Morocco, to improve their knowledge about their health and increase their capacity in leadership and advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an agenda for the capacity building workshop targeting women who use drugs,
- Prepare facilitation tools (i.e. role plays)
- Coordinate with experts who will facilitate thematic sessions,
- Coordinate with the local CSO in Morocco; and
- Facilitate the workshop in Morocco (Tangier, Nador and Tetouan) and write a report - in French - on the training.
Methodology:
The methodology to be used in this training must integrate interactive sessions, role play exercises and presentations to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
The interactive component will allow participants to actively participate in discussions, ask questions and share their ideas, thus promoting a collaborative learning environment.
Deliverables:
- Four-day workshop agenda,
- Workshop pre- and post-test, and
