Photographer for El Qaa MMU

1. INTRODUCTION

Medecins du Monde with the support of Le Centre de Crise et de Soutien is working in the area of El Qaa, Baalbeck to provide mental health and psychological support services in the reference facility (PHC center of El Qaa) for the purpose of decreasing morbidity and mortality among the most vulnerable population living in Masharih El Qaa, Baalbek-Hermel, Lebanon. MdM works on improving the access to PHC services, especially for women, adolescents and children, including SRH/GBV and MHPSS, in Masharih El Qaa. In October, MdM submitted additional activities involving WASH related activities with 2 partners (ACF and a local organization named Mission Assi) to increase access to safe drinking water and reduce occurence and increase the prevention of water-borne diseases.MdM services also include providing essential package of Primary Health Care (PHC) services through mobile medical unit (MMU), especially to Informal Tented Settlements (ITS) and through home-care visits especially to residential settings. Development and implementation of community-based activities for prevention, detection and orientation of health-related needs.

1. BACKGROUND OF MDM IN LEBANON

MdM France has been working in Lebanon for more than 30 years from the response to the civil war in the 1980s to the response to the Syrian crisis, COVID-19, the Beirut port explosion and the escalation of the armed conflicts with current partners.

MdM mainly works in the sector of Health (mostly Primary Health Care and Mental health and Psychosocial support), while ensuring cross-cutting activities in Sexual and reproductive health and Gender inclusion.

1. SCOPE OF WORK

In order to ensure the visibility of the above mentioned project, especially the mobile medical units, ITSs and home visits in residential settings, MdM seeks to engage the service of a photographer with long experience in photography to take a series of photos reflecting the services provided and the progress of the project in addition to silent landscape short videos. The Photographer should have experience in working with NGOs, especially on documenting program activities.

The photographs and vidoes are to be taken in Masharih el Qaa and El Qaa village where we have the mobile medical clinics, home visits activities and beneficiaries. Therefore, a consent form must be filled and signed by the subject for image rights. The photographer will have a full day field visit where he/she/they will take photos, edit them and submit them later with the consent forms.

The service provider is requested to provide the following material:

• Mood board or treatment

• Consent forms
• Final result of photos and silent videos
• Photo release form

1. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The service provider is expected to complete the assignment in a week to 10 days after filming in the month of April.

1. QUALIFICATION OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER 

MdM is looking for a service provider with demonstrated experience in photography especially in the humanitarian field

1. MDM RESPONSIBILITY:

• Provide the service provider with a brief
• Meet with the service provider for more clarity about the assignment;
• Provide feedback on delivered work; 
• Inspect in a regular basis prior to completion to verify the quality of the work, assess the progress according to the agreed timeline and deliverables.
• Provide consent forms and visual identity guidelines
• A car with a driver to accompany him/her/them to the field
• MdM Lebanon Communication Advisor will accompany the photographer to the field.

The contracted photographer cannot further subcontract the assignment. In cases where the submission includes a team of photographs, their division of labor shall be presented in the financial offer.

* The photographer is required to grant MdM full rights to the photographs by submitting a completed and signed Photo Release Form, thereby authorizing MdM to use, publish, distribute, and modify the photographs without restriction.
Furthermore, the photographer agrees not to use, display, sell, or otherwise distribute the photos themselves, ensuring exclusive rights are maintained by MdM.
