Vaccination/Monitoring Nurses- Saida (35 vacancies needed)

Summary of the Job:
The registered nurse provides direct nursing care to patients in the COVID19 vaccination centre settings as per national/international guidelines and requirements by Medair Management related to administration of COVID-19 vaccines and monitor of patients after the vaccination, alongside Supporting the Ministry of Public Health’s vision and effort to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
Main tasks and duties:
- Receive patients by identifying themselves and the name of the centre.
- Commitment to standards of care and professional practice.
- Demonstrate clinical assessment skills for patient’s as per national and international guidelines.
- Check patients’ identity.
- Ensure proper record of all required information in the patient files and information system, including scanning documentation.
- Prepare the vaccination cubicle and maintain infection control protocols on duty.
- Administer the COVID-19 vaccines to the patients.
- Maintain medical/nursing equipment in good working conditions and regularly inventory all consumable and non-consumable supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment, placing timely orders to restock unit as required.
- Dispose of bio-hazardous waste following waste management protocols.
- Ensure clients can safely proceed to the post immunization waiting area.
- Monitor post-immunization waiting area, including for beneficiaries who may be unwell and need assistance after immunization.
- Inform the physician of any emergency case.
- Provide first aid services such as Basic Life Support if needed including, ECG and use of automatic defibrillator.
- Advices’ beneficiaries about post-immunization waiting period, monitoring for adverse events, what to do if adverse events develop, need for and timing of a second dose (if needed) and the need to continue to follow COVID-19 precautions on an ongoing basis as per public health recommendations.
- Providing health education including COVID-19 awareness and infection prevention control to individuals and their communities including prior to discharge
- Discharge beneficiaries after safe monitoring period is finished.
- Commit to working hours.
- Commit to maintain professional ethics, quality of care, patient confidentiality.
- Abide by all policies and work procedures.
- Treat all patients with respect and professionalism
- Perform other tasks based on needs to ensure proper roll ou of vaccination upon manager and site supervisor's request
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences (LT Nursing, BS Nursing), and he / she must have:
- Permission to practice nursing profession from the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon.
- Registration with the Order of Nurses.
- Up to date Basic Life Support Certificate.
- Good experience in nursing business for at least 3 years.
- Ability to have good verbal and written communication with all workers.
- Basic computer skills (especially in using the electronic medical file), electronic printer, fax, etc.
- Languages: Arabic (Fluent), English (Good).
