Project Coordination:

  • Ensure project implementation follows LWR and donor policies and stipulations as outlined in the cooperation agreement.
  • Responsible for project-related compliance to LWR code of conduct and related policies, including whistleblower, accountability to affected populations, etc.
  • Under the guidance of the Program Manager, identify and develop relationships with people, organizations and institutions that can enrich country programs and help achieve LWR's strategy.
  • Work closely with relevant regional office and Humanitarian Assistance team members to ensure high-quality program delivery.
  • Conduct and/or support partner assessments and monitoring as required.
  • Enhance LWR’s visibility in the country by participating in relevant networks, forums and other coordination and learning spaces when the Program Manager is unavailable.
  • If required, coordinate the exchange of correspondence between LWR and project partners and potential partners; send all relevant correspondence from the headquarters to partners; send relevant communications to headquarters
  • If required, ensure partner narrative and financial reports are completed and submitted to the LWR-Lebanon office and HQ on a timely basis.

MEL/Knowledge management

  • Regular monitoring of project activities and completion of project Activity and Indicator tracking tables.
  • Engage with regional and global Quality, Impact and Learning team to keep up to speed on new knowledge, tools, and learning agenda.
  • Ensure new knowledge, tools, frameworks are presented to and understood by the rest of the Lebanon team.
  • Manage the beneficiary spreadsheet and ensure LWR’s Project Management System, Phoenix, is up-to-date with accurate beneficiary numbers and results tracking.
  • Conduct partner activity monitoring as needed to ensure high-quality service delivery to all beneficiaries.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned as needed.

Knowledge and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in economics, gender or development studies.
  • Experience engaging the private sector in workforce development or entrepreneurship programs.
  • Experience with positive stakeholder engagement, including national and international NGOs, the private sector, and government officials.
  • Proven ability to work independently; effectively manage time and competing priorities, complex tasks; and identify opportunities and challenges and propose appropriate responses or solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective team coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proven excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
